This volume of Journeys in Triple Time invites late elementary pianists on six musical journeys, each inspired by a place — some real, some imagined. Every piece is written in three-four time, with a variety of characters and moods.
Included Pieces:
Cherry Blossom Garden — a musical stroll through a garden in bloom.
The Ring of Kerry — a journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Ireland.
Ferris's Amazing Wheel — a playful, whirling piece.
Mediterranean Melody — music inspired by the warmth and atmosphere of the Mediterranean.
A Far Away Feeling — a journey to a place that exists somewhere in the imagination.
Prater Park Scherzo — a lively musical visit to Vienna's historic Prater Park.
Included are six unique bonus pages, one for each piece, adding an extra dimension to the musical journey. Depending on the piece, students may discover fun facts about the place that inspired it, practice excerpts drawn from the music, links to YouTube videos for further exploration, or supporting music theory activities.
With 14 pages of music plus 6 bonus pages, Journeys in Triple Time combines musical expression, imagination, and skill-building in a collection designed for late-elementary pianists.
